Donations
We are all aware that the ongoing financial crisis/uncertainty with after effects of Brexit - exacerbated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine - has had negative implications for a lot of people. It is also fair to say that the numbers of people attending church regularly are much lower than previously, yet churches still play a vital role in our communities. Baptist Churches are autonomous, that is we govern ourselves. We do belong to both National and Local Associations, but we do not receive any core cost funding from them or anywhere else. Our income mainly comes from our collections each week.
Treeton Baptist Church will soon be celebrating 100 years of faithful service at its current location and as with anything that is nearly 100 years old - there are maintenance costs for repairs to the fabric of the building (& the upkeep of the large grounds) to ensure the continued safety of our premises. We would also like to ensure that financially we are able to continue Gods work in the area and our various community projects and events. And, recently grants for maintenance activities have become less accessible.
Consequently, we have decided to ask for donations. How much you give is entirely up to you and we guarantee that every single penny goes to supporting maintenance costs and the continuing work of the church. If you are a UK tax payer please let us know so that we can benefit from the 'Gift Aid' scheme.
If you would like to donate then please make cheques payable to 'Treeton Baptist Church'.
A Just Giving Page is also being set up.
Many thanks and blessings.
